Mario Balotelli apologizes for missing a penalty

Mario Balotelli has apologized to AC Milan chief executive for missing a penalty in the match against Frosinone.

The game ended 3-3 with Balotelli missing a crucial penalty in the 48th minutes.

Indeed at this moment of the game, AC Milan was losing 2-0 and would have really benefited from a goal on penalty. Nevertheless, they managed to pull one goal back through Carlos Bacca. But the reduction in the scoreline only lasted a short period with FredericoDionisi extending the lead again for Frosinone.

However, Luca Antonelli will manage to bring the game back to 3-2 before the referee award another penalty to AC Milan in the closing stage of the match. This time, it would be Jeremy Menez who took the penalty and will score to bring the game leveled.

It is understood that Mario Balotelli personally called the AC Milan chief executive Galliani to apologize for his poor penalty kick. Galliani himself confirmed the call and said that this is a proof that Balotelli has changed and become more matured. Indeed, some years back you would never have heard news about Balotelli apologizing for his behaviors.

There are reports that this change in behavior is because Balotelli will want to secure a permanent move to AC Milan. Indeed, the Italian striker is currently on loan from Liverpool and will want to have a permanent contract with AC Milan. So far there have been no reports of negotiations with both parties since AC Milan is more concerned about their takeover bid.

Balotelli has stated that he wants to stay with Milan and that he does not want to return to Liverpool. He said that he is happy in Italy and that he could not adapt to life in Liverpool. We will have to wait until the summer to find out how this saga will end.
